The Faculty of Engineering and Computing provides students with the hard technical skills and soft practical skills necessary for successful careers in the world of Engineering, Information Technology and related industries. Our mission is to prepare students for a lifetime of learning and successful careers in different engineering fields, locally and internationally. We are committed to inspiring our students to be future leaders and problem solvers in the important field of engineering. Through our multi-faceted approach, our students gain the core competencies, knowledge, and skills needed to be highly competent engineering and IT professionals, prepared for entry-level positions in specific engineering and IT disciplines, further graduate studies, life-long learning, and leadership.
All the programs offered by the Faculty of Engineering and Computing are accredited by the Commission of Academic Accreditation (CAA), Ministry of Education, UAE. This guarantees they meet the highest standards of quality and that students who graduate from them are well-prepared for the workforce locally, regionally and internationally. The programs provide an excellent amalgamation of classical foundational courses and advanced contemporary courses in Engineering and Information Technology.
Our faculty members and staff are highly qualified professionals with vast experience in the field. They are committed to teaching students the latest technologies and helping them develop the skills they need to succeed. Our faculty members are highly engaged in scientific research projects that reflect positively on their teaching performance. The industrial experience they have is propagated to the students to help them be prepared for emerging market needs. Student clubs provide opportunities to get involved in activities and competitions, which will further develop their skills, build networks with other students, and gain experience in the field.
