Dr. Amin Almasri is an associate professor in the civil engineering department at the Engineering faculty, with a long experience in the realm of higher education institutions. He has acquired extensive experience and expertise across various domains, including teaching, scientific research, administration, and faculty development. Throughout his career, he has served diverse roles such as head of the department, assistant dean, and faculty coordinator.

Short Bio

Dr. Amin is the current Head of Civil Engineering Department. He has earned bachelor’s and master’s degree in civil engineering form Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in 2001 and 2004, respectively. He also got a PhD in civil/structural engineering from Louisiana State University (LSU) in USA in 2008.

Prior to joining LC, Dr. Almasri served in different Universities in Jordan (2008-2016). After that, he moved to Saudi Arabia, where he worked at Prince Fahad Bin Sultan university (2016-2022).

Dr. Almasri has also worked as a part timer in several university, conducted training for different institutions in several countries in the middle east, and worked jointly with engineering design offices and companies for solving engineering problems.

The research topics he is involved in include numerical simulation of structures, failure analysis of materials, recycled concrete materials, and nano materials.
