Dr. Azza Mohammed is an assistant professor in the Faculty of IT’s Information Technology Department. She has over fifteen years of experience in higher education and has gained an extensive understanding of teaching, administrative activities, faculty growth, and research. Dr. Azza’s doctorate was part of a collaboration between Carnegie Mellon University in the USA and Cairo University in Egypt.
Dr. Azza Mohammed is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in teaching (both undergraduate and postgraduate courses) and research. She worked as an Assistant Professor at several prestigious universities in the UAE, including The British University in Dubai, Wollongong University, Al Dar University College, University of Dubai, and Emirates Aviation University, before joining LC. Her teaching experience has enabled her to mentor and motivate many Computer Engineering/IT students.
Dr. Azza’s knowledge and commitment to her field extend beyond the classroom. She has published numerous research papers and has presented her work at various international conferences. She stays on top of the newest advances in computer engineering by being an active member of the research community and publishing in international journals. Her current research interests include Natural Language Processing (NLP), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL) and Big Data (BD), which are very prominent in today’s digital environment.
Dr. Azza is qualified by the Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation in the United States as a VEX Robotics International Competition Judge and Trainer. This certification indicates her dedication to the development of young talent in the industry.
