Dr. Fathi Awad is an assistant professor in the Allied Health Professionals Department at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences with 20 years of teaching, research, and administration experience. Throughout his career, he has assumed many roles such as associate professor and head of the medical physics Department, MDI Program Coordinator, Editorial Manager of Scientific Journals, Head of Strategy Planning Unit, Secretary of Governmental Scientific Research Committee, Advisory Board Coordinator and Head of the Course File Audit Unit.

Dr. Fathi Awad brings a wealth of experience in teaching and administrative leadership within the higher education sector. His involvement in numerous meetings, seminars, conferences, and workshops has significantly enriched his pedagogical repertoire, resulting in enhanced teaching methods, skills, and overall knowledge.

He has participated in curriculum and syllabi development, in addition to his role on esteemed committees such as the International Accreditation Committee, reaccreditation and equivalence committees, and others. In addition, he has a membership in many international professional organizations such as Health Physics Society (USA) and Alumniportal Deutschland.

Dr. Fathi has a record of publications in well reputable journals and conferences. His research spans across multiple fields, including Radiation Protection and Radiation Dosimetry, Radiation Biology, Nanotechnology for Biomedical Applications, Photodiagnosis and Photodynamic Therapy. Dr.Fathi is also a reviewer for many journals and international conferences such as Journal of fluorescence and The 2nd International Conference on Scientific Research & Innovation 2023.
