Dr. Hussam is an Assistant Professor of Haematology and immune at the Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences. He obtained his PhD in Medical Laboratory Science (Haematology) from Al Neelain University, Khartoum, Sudan. He also obtained a master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (Haematology & Immunohaematology) from Sudan University of Science & Technology, Sudan, and a bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Medical Laboratory Science, from the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences, Shendi University, Shendi, Sudan.

Short Bio

Dr. Hussam has 18 years of extensive experience in higher education institutions as well as medical laboratories and hospitals. Throughout his professional journey, Dr. Hussam has held several positions in medical research and in teaching. Dr. Hussam is registered with the Council for Medical & Health Professions as a Hematology Consultant, Khartoum, Sudan.
He has participated in international conferences and forums in Biotechnology, Genomics, and Human Health, as well as ICGEB meetings on Genetics. His research and publications have focused on human genetics (hematological disorders (thalassemia & leukemia) and blood parasites “Malaria, Leishmania &Trypanosoma”.
