No, smoking is not permitted on any LC Campuses.

The College provides transportation in the Abu Dhabi area and suburbs at reasonable costs for female students only and registration starts at the beginning of each semester.

The Student Affairs Office organizes trips throughout the Academic Year, in addition to celebrating religious and national occasions.

The use of cameras is not permitted. Students need formal permission from the administration to take photos.

Yes, there is. It is comprised of elected members from each group level. The Student Council is responsible for representing students, defending their rights, encouraging academic cooperation, and helping to preserve the College’s reputation.  It meets regularly under the supervision of the Student Affairs Office to organize and coordinate activities that promote fitness and sports among students. It also organizes cultural and intellectual activities.

You are entitled to receive:

• A quality education
• A general plan of your program at the beginning of each semester that includes the number of credit hours, course descriptions, objectives, and references or resources that can be used as complementary materials
• Knowledge of graduation requirements, registration procedures, and course availability, timetable, and fees
• Knowledge of the penalties in cases of fraud or plagiarism
• Knowledge of the attendance policy and the consequences in case of non-compliance
• Immediate notification in the case of cancellation of a classes
• A set schedule of classes as per the Academic Calendar
• Information related to any changes in classroom rules
• Confidentiality in terms of your grades and personal circumstances
• The right to review your student file

You must:

• Follow the necessary procedures for registration, withdrawal, or addition of courses as explained in the Student’s Handbook
• Attend fully and on time
• Respect the instructor’s decision about the attendance policy
• Respect the instructor’s right to determine the course content, methodology, and evaluation
• Take into account the right of the instructor to determine the deadlines for assignments and be aware of the penalties imposed in case of failure to comply with these deadlines
• Complete assignments by yourself. Plagiarism will not be tolerated
• Take tests and examinations as scheduled by the instructors
• Take responsibility for class absences
• Follow up on and implement what is stated in the regulations and policies of the College

• The deliberate absence from mandatory lectures and activities in accordance with the regulations of the College
• Submitting assignments after the deadline
• Any action against religion or morals, or any act that may tarnish the reputation of the College, such as:
  • Any act of blasphemy, insulting the divine (God), religion, the Holy Quran, or the prophets
    Stealing items from the College, staff, or students
  • Drinking alcohol or using banned substances
  • Any offense, whether verbal or physical, against employees or students
  • Damage or misuse of College property or resources, or the property of others, including students, staff, and visitors
  • Publishing, exchanging, or downloading hostile or illegal materials, such as insults or pornography
• Transmission of false information to the College, forgery, or impersonating a student in an exam
  Being convicted of a crime
• Insulting a member of staff or another student
• Lack of academic integrity, including plagiarism or cheating

• Verbal warning
• Written warning
• Expulsion from the classroom
• Being prohibited from attending lectures
• Being prohibited from participating in activities
• Being prohibited from taking exams
• Making reparations to what has been physically damaged
• Suspension from the College
• Receiving a mark of zero in case of plagiarism or cheating
• Course failure
• Enforced withdrawal from a course
• Dismissal from the College

Note: The student will be notified of the penalties in writing by the Manager of the Student Affairs Office. In case of dismissal due to misconduct, the decision will be signed by the President of Liwa College and a copy kept in the student’s file.
