Dr. Ziad Adwan, PhD

Dr. Ziad Adwan is an Associate Professor of Mathematics with over 17 years of Experience since obtaining his PhD. He was nominated for the University of Texas Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award in 2012 and published Mathematical Research in High Ranking Journals including Mathematische Annalen, Journal of Differential Equations, Journal of Geometric Analysis and Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society. Since 2012, Dr. Ziad has been serving as a Reviewer for the journal “Mathematical Reviews” which is published by the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.

Short Bio

I have Received a BSc and MSc in Mathematics from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in 2001 and a PhD in Mathematics from Temple University in Philadelphia, USA in 2006. Then I moved to University of Texas as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics from 2007-2012. Then worked as Coordinator of the Mathematics unit and Associate Professor of Mathematics at the American University in Dubai (AUD) from 2012-2018. From January 2019-July 2023 worked as Associate Professor of Mathematics at Zayed University (ZU) Abu Dhabi Campus. Since September 1st, 2023, I joined Liwa College as an Associate Professor of Mathematics.
